a) Burn an MP3 as CD (LPCM uncompressed)
b) Rip that song from the CD to an MP3 again.
Obviously you can only go DOWN in bit rate (you can't get more info from what you get started)
Or
Use iTunes (free and safe) to go from MP3 to AAC, the use iTunes again to go from AAC to MP3 at a different bit rate
(you may even be able to change the MP3 bit rate without the intermediate step)How can i change the bitrate of mp3s?
iTunes is the only way i know of. Load your library first. Then go to the iTunes settings, advanced, then import (settings) then choose convert to MP3 and choose your bitrate. Then right click on your song of choice and click covert selection to MP3.
